You know, for a media tie in, this isn‘t half bad. And the research seems pretty solid. Or least, the author(s) know that the Fox sisters were a thing. Now I have to figure out if ancient women using oxen bladders as Spanxs, as mentioned in the book, is also really a thing.

I loved the idea of publishing Erin and Abby's book, but I found it a dry read, which was disappointing since several friends enjoyed it. There were some humorous asides and some interesting facts, but it wasn't very engaging so it took me a long time to read. #ghostbusters #movietiein #dictionalauthors

😆 Trying to pare my professional long reviews down to a micro review is *hard*! I've been well-trained to write 500+ words.

Okay, I loved this book. I loved the in-text banter between them as the computer was passed back and forth, and the overall cheekiness of it. It's great to be able to read the book they wrote, mentioned in the movie 😆. There‘s actually a good deal of pretty nifty historical information, as well as practical information for the fledgling ghost hunter.

🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻 Highly recommended if you like ghosty stuff, or love Ghostbusters.

This book was...fun, we'll call it fun. It was a very quick read, not much effort required. Lots of photos and illustrations. It was even a bit informative, leading to more than one trip to google to get more info about particular hauntings. So if you like #ghostbusters, old or new, #ghosthunting, or #ghosts in general, this is for you. #halloween #funnyreads

I finally saw Ghostbusters-- spoiler I LOVED IT!-- and it totally worked out that I'd listened to the tie-in audiobook previously because it gave me the whole backstory for two of the awesome ladies. 👻💙 now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go watch dumb Thor dance.

Bookzombie I loved the movie too! 8y
ultrabookgeek I loved the movie! It was so fun and hysterical. 8y

New Pop Vinyl figure! Patty Tolan (from Ghostbusters 2016) gets to be Zoé's (from Firefly/Serenity) new shelf buddy. Always room for more badass women!

Zelma 😍 I haven't seen Ghostbusters yet but ❤️ Firefly. 8y

BlackandBookish @Zelma I really enjoyed it. I'm not a super fan of the original and I know it's a hot button topic for some. Zoe is so much awesome. 8y
Zelma @BlackandBookish I love the original but I heard the new one is funny. I'll see it once it's on tv. I hate all of the remakes and reboots (lack of originality), but they get a pass of they're actually good! 😉 and Zoe completely rocks. 8y
ultrabookgeek I NEED THESE NOW! I loved Patty and honestly use Zoe as inspiration when I'm feeling down. 😍 8y
moranadatter 💗 both of the Pops! A drive in theater near me is showing Ghostbusters later this month so I'm going to go see it again. 8y

This was cute. It wasn't great. It was a quick read with some funnies thrown in but it wasnt the laugh out loud, spookfest that I was hoping for it to be but it was entertaining. It is written as a movie tie-in to the latest Ghostbusters movie. The book is written by two of the main characters, with insights from others. If you are a complete fangirl, you'll love it.

BekahB Thanks for the review! I think I'll look for it at the library instead of buying it. 😄 8y
TheNextBook @BekahB defintely get it from the library. It can be dry at points but it is interesting. 8y

If you loved the movie, I cannot recommend this book enough. I laughed on the bus, I laughed on the subway. I even snorted in glee. One of the things that made it so wonderful is the way the book combines our world and the Ghostbusters world. At work, one of the books I have is The Penguin Book of the Undead. It was so fun to see some of the same stories in both books. Well researched, ghostwriter! Much applause! My cat, however, remains skeptical

I absolutely adored the new Ghostbusters movie! So much fun, so much lady power, so much talent and by far the most Kate McKinnon I've ever had the pleasure to view in a single role.

Real Talk: I went in with a massive crush on her, and when I walked out it was at critical mass. ❤️❤️❤️

Yossarian Great action figures! 8y
