We read the first one for #ParanormalLoveCrew and got a kick out of it. Anyway, needed a new commute book, so I found book 2 on Audio. Started this one the other day.

so-so

I've never said that before, but if you're considering to read this book, then I highly recommend the audio book. I absolutely love how the narrator adds to the story with her voice, she made me laugh out loud way too often. As for the printed version, it's still funny and nice but nothing really..well, it's good. Nice. But the audio book is so much better!

I listened to this on audio. The narrator, Nancy Wu, does a perfect job of hitting the right sarcastic note for Betsy. Very entertaining!

So it turns out that for the first time since I was 15 (think late 30s now) I won't have a job next year. I'm feeling pretty bummed about it. On the plus side, lots of reading time. Now what should I put on the list? I need lots of recommendations. Historic fiction, crime fiction, something funny and some classics that I usually don't have time for.

MyNamesParadise @Joanne1 I have to admit sometimes I see pictures of cats and dogs and only comment about them and don't read the entire post. But having pets would help through this time (speaking as someone who doesn't have a pet but desperately wants one). If you're looking for another career or job (I'm not sure of your situation, so I don't mean to assume; however) a book recommended to me was What Color is Your Parachute. Happy Reading!

Joanne1 @MyNamesParadise I actually do have pets. One very old and grumpy but beautiful black Cat and an eight year old schnauzer that still thinks she's a puppy. I'm also thinking of getting a couple of chickens, we'll see. Thanks for the book recommendation, is it based on the US job market? I'm in Australia but I'm sure there's some salient points made that would apply here. I've been a teacher for 12 years, but it might be time for a change. 7y

MyNamesParadise @Joanne1 it was written for the US. At least in Australia your health insurance doesn't depend on your job like it usually does here!! I'm working part time in a library system now but to get anywhere in life I may have to go back to school for a masters but I really don't want to so ugh. I'm feeling down myself about jobs 7y
