Otherworld Chills
Otherworld Chills: Final Tales of the Otherworld | Kelley Armstrong
15 posts | 15 read | 9 to read
The fifth and final collection of stories--including an original novella exclusive to this book--featuring the fascinating werewolves, witches, necromancers, angels and demons of Kelley Armstrong's internationally bestselling Women of the Otherworld series. A must-have for fans! Nobody has done paranormal suspense as brilliantly as Canada's own Kelley Armstrong in her Globe and Mail and New York Times bestselling Women of the Otherworld Series. Through thirteen novels, starting with Bitten (which inspired a hit TV series) and ending with 13, the suspense never let up, and fans were thrilled by kick-ass heroines like Elena and Savannah, deft plotting, unfolding love stories, great sex, clever wit and dark and imaginative twists and turns. This final collection of stories featuring the characters so many fans have come to love completes several important storylines at the same time as it delivers on Kelley Armstrong's trademark inventiveness and talent for adventure.

I really enjoyed this collection of short stories. Many of the main characters from the Otherworld were featured. I particularly enjoyed the story about Kate and Logan Danvers - Clay and Elena as parents versus fighting for their pack sheds a different light on the characters.

Kelley Armstrong is my favourite when it comes to the #paranormal. I'm looking forward to finally reading the Cainsville series this year! #ReadingResutions

TommieMarie74 I love the Cainesville series! Honestly, I like it better than the Otherworld series. It‘s fantastic! 😊 6y

I couldn't find any books in my collection with #pumpkins on the covers so here's one of the cute ornaments from my library, along with some pumpkin chai. Otherworld Chills is on my ever-growing tbr list and American Gothic Tales is on my might-eventually-try-reading-again list; I've bailed on it twice over the past few years. #Hallowreads

BooksForYears Pumpkin chai sounds delicious! 6y

I'm pretty sure that almost all of Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld novels have a #FirstPersonNarrator (Elena, Paige, Eve, Jaime, Hope, to name a few). The only ones I can think of that aren't 1st person POV are Living With the Dead, and some short stories (like the first one in Chills) Other books with 1st person narrators that come to mind are The Hunger Games trilogy (Katniss) and most of the Sherlock Holmes stories (Watson). #UncannyOctober

Andrew65 Love Katniss! 7y

#tbr #FeistyFeb

A small tbr for me this month. I plan on FINALLY starting and finishing Otherworld Chills, and continuing my Psy-Changeling reread by finishing Tangle of Need.

I might get round to other books, but it is a short and busy month so we will see ☺

Another brilliant selection of short stories in my favourite universe! I especially enjoyed The Puppy Plan and Baby Boom. I love seeing all these characters throughout their lives after having read about them for so many years. ❤

My reading equipment is fairly simple. All I need is a book with a bookmark, or my kindle, and a blanket to snuggle in. ☺

Hobbinol Nice bookmarks! 7y

The weather here has been cold at times, warmer at others, but I would like a little bit of snow before winter is over ☃️❄️

Moonpa Kelley Armstrong is awesome! 7y
Bookworm54 @Moonpa she is one of my favourite authors, though I got slightly (and now majorly) behind on her publications. Damn that woman writes fast! 7y

Anthologies are hard to review but this was a pretty great send off for the series (though it did open up two storylines that I REALLY want a full book on down the road). I could honestly just read about supernatural domesticity forever and be perfectly content. And Otherworld Chills certainly delivered on that front. Also, points for an ambivalent pregnancy plot line which I never see in fantasy 👌🏻#allhallowsread

Started this appropriate #halloweenread yesterday! Can't believe it's the last of the Otherworld stories, I seriously don't want to say goodbye, I love these characters ☹️☹️☹️ #allhallowsread #NOTscary

Bookworm54 I haven't got this yet. I'm not ready for it to end! 💔 7y
MeganB @Bookworm54 if it wasn't a library book I would definitely savor this but it has to go back on Halloween 😢 7y
Bookworm54 Oh no! I need to buy a copy. It should be out here now! I'm behind on the novellas too 😔 though I suppose this means the series will last slightly longer for me... 😭 7y

MeganB @Bookworm54 I think I might buy the three anthologies for reading purposes, though I must say I'm holding out hope for more on Logan and Kate someday (I need to know if Kate's a wolf soooo bad!) 7y
MeganB @bookworm54 Oops! Threat should say rereading purposes 😳😬 7y
Bookworm54 I know! She can't leave us on such a cliff hanger! 7y
Erin01 @MeganB Kelley Armstrong has some other short fiction & novellas that were published separately & may not be in this collection, but I'm pretty sure either Forsaken or Driven (I can't remember which one) might give you some answers regarding Kate if you haven‘t read them yet 7y
MeganB @Erin01 I haven't! Though I think the events of that one was definitely mentioned in one of these stories (Puppy Plan; so cute btw!) as backstory type stuff. 7y

#shortstories An excellent end to the Otherworld universe. It's so great to have all the short stories and novellas gathered into hardcovers like this one. Now, I have to read her Cainsville novels!! Yay!😀
