1) All 3 I think: I live in a little city completely within the city limits of San Antonio and very near downtown SA. So I‘m a city girl. We have a house at the lake, a little less than an hour north of here, the suburbs, and I enjoy time at my parents‘ farm where they moved when they retired, and where I spent a good part of my childhood with my grandparents when they were still alive

1. It varies.. 5 or more, maybe? I‘m trying to read all the books I have but I‘m not doing very well.
2. I could go a year without buying new books. I own a bunch I haven‘t read and I have a lot of lovely books I could re-read. I like food too much to live without meat. :-)
3. We took a train to San Antonio.
4. None for me, but got a couple of shirts for the girls.

pickI liked this book! Before reading this I didn't know much details about the war between Mexico and USA. Also I thought that Santa Anna was a city and David Crockett some sort of mythical character invented for western movies. Turned out they were real people once upon a time. 😂😂
I also learned from this book that war literature in general is not for me. So those bits I didn't enjoy so much but still a good book!
My goal of this month is to finish this and then read something else and just basically have more time to read since I've been so busy lately that it takes forever to read just one book. I'm late with this update, I know... #TBR #marchintoreading
The best thing about these slow reads is that every time you open the book it's like meeting an old friend. At this point I know the characters well and I know how the world around them works. With books like this I don't mind that it takes a lot of time to read throught. It's so comfortable.
#ReadJanuary - Jan 13th: set in my city.
I recently moved to San Antonio and I'm quickly accumulating #allthebooks I can find re: Texas history.
This is my #TBR pile for January. These are pretty big books so I'm not sure if I get them all read but I will try my best. At least one of them will be read before the month is over. Best thing is that all of these will fit in my reading challenges! #readjanuary
