so-soVery imaginative, and fun world building. The characters are a delight, and I really like the art style. This will be loved by many of the target middle grade age group. Overall, the storytelling itself was so-so. The beginning didn‘t do enough to establish the characters and their backstories, leading to some confusion in the start, and I never got into Charlotte‘s whole deal as a result. #Comics
pick4 🌟 This was such a fun romp At the start it seemed like a more child friendly version of Locke and Key. This book is about a blended family, and how even broken families can be fixed. Three kids are sent to grandma Lupe‘s for the summer. She lives in an old hotel, that has special abilities. It will take every member of the family to make this trip, this mission, a success. A great books for kids or adults.

pickThis was such a fun Middle Grade novel. I had a few issues with it but those didn't take away from my enjoyment.

Characters 5 stars the characters were so much fun and I loved reading about their journey.

The plot was were this book lost me in some places. I could not see how it got form point a to point b.
We have already had a few littens review this, and I had a galley (don't know if I still do).

pickSo glad I won this ARC from BookRiot! The art is gorgeous, and the story felt fresh and new. Multiple worlds, a magic hotel, a magic grandma (!), family drama, and a rat named Donut!!
I hope there'll be more in the series!
