Novella moving the series from Nevada to Catalina as Catalina is hired to solve a crime surrounding her sisters wedding. Quite a change from confident Nevada to the anxious, out of her element Catalina. But it makes perfect sense given the nature of Catalina‘s power. Very enjoyable!

I‘ve spent the last eleven days rereading these so I can go on to the next trilogy. But now I must diverge into library books coming due, buddy read commitments, and #roll100 #bookspin picks. Why must life interfere so badly with my reading time? All I ask is for 8 uninterrupted hours to read every day…maybe 10…is that so much to ask?

The first time I read this I hadn‘t seen Mulan. Now it‘s extra funny.

This is the first book in the series that focuses on Catalina (Nevada's sister). A family heirloom is stolen from the Rogan family and Catalina is asked to investigate since Navada is busy with final wedding details. I was excited to finally know more about Catalina and how her magic as a Siren worked. Story was fast paced and despite being a novella it was fully fleshed out. Looking forward to the next book! 4.5 ⭐️

A novella jam packed with drama and mystery. It‘s time for Nevada and Rogan‘s wedding and his family has some major issues. This is the first book with Catalina‘s POV and I loved her with her fear and insecurities along with her all around courage to do what needs to be done. I love when a novella feels well rounded.

Love me some Ilona Andrews. This one is short, quick and awesome☺️☺️ Can‘t wait for the next book in this series!

The original trilogy was adult urban fantasy but this novella is more YA paranormal mystery. It felt rushed and pretty disconnected.

Awesome continuation of the story from the previous trilogy, and a very good transition into the coming stories. I can‘t wait to read more about Catalina.

I usually don‘t read series as they‘re being published. I‘m much better at waiting until it‘s done and then bingeing, but not this time. I can‘t wait for this series to continue. I really want to read this.

This novella was told from Catalina's perspective. It wasn't as good as the other three books. It was less fantasy and more froofy.

This was so great! A novella delving deeper into Catalina, the sister of the Nevada in the Hudson Legacy series. I look forward to more of his family‘s adventures! #urbanfantasy #romantsy
