repost for @emilyrose_x:

#AdventRecommends is back!

The challenge is simple ~ share a recommendation on Litsy each day throughout advent using the hashtag #AdventRecommends.

They could be your top 24 reads of 2022, your 24 favourite books, 24 books you think don't get enough recognition or anything else you choose!

Let's all start 2023 with an even longer TBR list 📚

Please feel free to share, and I look forward to seeing your posts!

emilyrose_x Thank you for sharing! 🎁 1y

Friends, I thrifted the BEST THING: a short story advent calendar! It's the 2016 edition, but I've never had one of these before so that hardly matters. All the stories are there, and only the first six have been read. I guess the previous owner got bored.

This is gonna make December so much fun.

Mitch I‘ve never seen anything like that - such a cool idea 💡 6y
xicanti @Mitch it's by a Canadian publisher, so they might not be available in other countries--which is sad, because they look so fun! One of my friends had one a while back--I think it was this edition--but when I looked it up it was outside my budget. I'm so excited I'll get to experience it this year! 6y
Mitch @xicanti I love things that create little rituals. Enjoy 🎄🎄🎄 6y

Dolly A children‘s version would be great. 6y
xicanti @Dolly I have a friend who used to make a picture book one for her niece every Christmas. She borrowed library books and wrapped them up in what she figured was the most effective order. Her niece loved it! 6y
BookNAround Somebody on here posted about one last year so I promptly bought one (after Christmas, natch). I need to order one for this year too 🤔 6y
AlaMich Maybe I‘m a little slow, but how does this work? 6y
xicanti @BookNAround they look like so much fun. 6y
xicanti @AlaMich each short story is printed in a separate, numbered pamphlet that's sealed shut so you can't peak. You open and read one short story per day from December 1st to 24th. (edited) 6y
AlaMich @xicanti ok, that makes sense. That sounds fun! 6y
