I‘m working my way through Zenith. I keep getting distracted by work, house cleaning, and this guy‘s need for love. But I‘m hoping to finish this week cuz my TBR pile is full! (Not pictured: the 37 books awaiting me on my kindle 🤦🏼♀️)
✨I really, realllllly wanted to like it, but it kind of fell short for me. Although it does have everything you'd want in a sci-fi action packed fantasy, at times it felt very cliche. Some chapters were well written, but the constantly switching between LOTS of povs was too much. Italicising words that didn't need to be became annoying fast. I did really enjoy some characters and I loved the concept, just not the execution.
⭐⭐⭐/5
[#BookReview] Although this book has been widely criticized in the book community for being poorly written and rushed into publishing I wanted to finally pick it up and form my own opinions. Click the link below to read my review.

Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings‘s YA SF space opera novel (the first in a series) has some interesting ideas but is hampered by stilted characters (who seem too old for a YA book), bouncing point of views (at least 5) such that it was difficult to keep track of who was who, a tedious romance, predictable plotting and bloated over-writing such that I really didn‘t enjoy it and was relieved to get to the end.
Congratulations @Tiffy_Reads on your milestone! That‘s an amazing number!
I love Litsy because I can see what everyone is reading and how they feel about it. I have connected with some great people.
I have had my eye on Zenith (see tagged book)
The fact that this is the edited version (I listened to the actual audiobook and just followed with the ARC)...🙄🙄🙄
throwing in the towel at chapter 37. cringey writing, annoying and underdeveloped characters, meh pace, a romance that I don't like...and did I mention cringey writing?...AND I WATCHED A LIFETIME ROMANCE MOVIE TODAY!
This book was not good! The characters were either bland or contradicted themselves constantly. The plot was meh and uneventful. And the couple things that happened had just been plans that worked or things that a character suspected would happen. So it was completely predictable. The writing wasn‘t great either. It was just overall and underwhelming book. I nearly DNFd

I should be reading a bunch of other things, but I‘m getting stuck into this one instead. Look how pretty the chapter headings are!
Currently reading Zenith, by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings. ♥️
Book 3 of #24in48 my audiobook pick. Also I‘m officially 17+ hours in!! I‘m torn on this one. It‘s not awful but it‘s not great. I‘m left curious enough to see how the writing improved in book 2. Full review will definitely be on my blog Tuesday.
I love this book so much that I couldn‘t put this book down. I Highly Recommend This Book And I Give It 5 stars
