My current read. I‘ve been wanting to read a mermaid book for a while and was happy when I came across this.

Also, any crocheters or knitters out there who have a bit of free time and blue yarn interested in joining the #HatNotHate mission? The mission is to make blue hats for anti bullying awareness that will be distributed to children in schools in October. Here‘s the website for more info.

I gave this one 100 pages, and couldn‘t keep going for almost 300 more. While I feel badly b/c it was given to me for review, I also don‘t. Faruqi‘s intentions are good, but she needed a stern editor to pull her back. The oceanic descriptions are meant to be interesting but overwhelmed me with detail and dullness. And I did not care for the characters in the least.

I really loved this book. I thought it was an original concept. Coralline is a mermaid 🧜‍♀️ set to marry her boyfriend in a couple of weeks.
