One night when it was raining, these Black Bellied Whistling Ducks visited our backyard. We have bird feeders and a bird bath in our backyard. They were eating the bird seed that my birds dropped on the ground. They haven‘t visited again since then so I wanted to write a haiku about them.

Black Bellied Whistling Ducks
Will they fly over here and visit us again?
We liked seeing them

Walking to the library today, I found a second duck has chosen to make a nest near a very busy intersection, but a kind person has fenced off the way to the road. 😃
