Elephant & Piggie Like Reading! - The Itchy Book! | 
I found this on Facebook today posted by The Progressive Parent, if you want to check her page. It made me think of my preschooler who has requested the tagged book every night for 3 weeks. I even extended our library loan. He's almost memorized it word for word. I'm not sure if every bit of this is true, but I know we all know that reading to kids isn't always about them learning what's on the page. #raisingreaders
CarolynM I agree with all of that. Even before the baby can really register the reality of the book, reading to them provides the comfort of the sound of your voice. 5y
Clare-Dragonfly I love this! My 13-month-old loves turning the pages of books—he doesn‘t wait for you to read the words—but I know this is a step in his development. 5y
Elizabeth2 I read to my kids every day and every night. It was just part of what we did during the course of the day. There were book in their rooms, in the family room, living room and in the basement playroom. Unfortunately, despite all of that reading and how much they loved to read when they were younger, only my youngest is a bit of a reader now (19, 16, 13 & 12). I hold out hope that someday they will be. 🤷♀️ Elephant & Piggy were his FAVORITE! ❤️ 5y
WhatThePuck @Elizabeth2 same. My oldest is 12 and doesn't enjoy reading. The youngest is 4 and loves any form of reading. 🤞 5y
