Two #romanticholiday movies!! Holiday Inn is fun bc Ginger Rogers & Fred Astaire (Bing Crosby can be a noodge). But The Holiday is better: tender 😥 and endearing.

LibrarianRyan I agree the Holiday is better than Holiday Inn. Plus Holiday Inn does not age well. I also find it interesting how hard it is to find Holiday Inn playing on TV or streaming services in December. I thought it would be more popular. 3y

Watching Holiday Inn for the first time and uh...yea..wow. I get that the classics will aways have racist, classict, etc undertones but well this is not so much and UNDERtone. Some are more blatant and hard to watch than others.

laurieluna Yeah some are hard to watch. I loved song of the south when I was a kid because of the songs. It wasn't until I was older that I realised how problematic that film was. Disney no longer promote or sell it. 6y

Andrea4 @miralunasbooknook yea, I've been hard corde cringing through parts of this one. I really loved South Pacific as a kid- haven't seen it in a looong time buy I'm guessing it doesn't hold up well. Eek! just looked it up and the premise is terrible!!! 6y

Andrea4 @TheKidUpstairs To be honest, as a Christmas movie I find it meh, at best. White Christmas has the same songs and is set entirely in Winter. I also like the actresses more in W.C. 6y
