Maybe don't put your stories that showcase your weakness in writing characters of color back to back. Maybe don't put them in at all!

so-soHorror short story collection. Mixed bag. Some were good (The Dinner Party) - the opening story was particularly creeptastic. Some were bad (All the Pretty Girls) - can we just not with violence against women being the crux of the grisly gross-ness of a horror scenario?

Had a busy morning, so I got a late start on my #24in48, I'm still going to try for it. I'm starting off with a book I got in the #nocturnalreadersbox. I'm only a couple stories in, but I'm really enjoying it so far. I feel like I really don't read enough short stories so my goal this year is to read a bunch.

Got my first #nocturnalreadersbox and I'm sorry I didn't sign up sooner. I even enjoyed the coffee, and I normally hate flavored coffee. I can't wait to start the books and hang my print!
I have a new favorite subscription box! I started reading the short stories in We Should Have Left Well Enough Alone and they are crazy, in a good way! If I ever get my reading room/library, I'm going to have some cool stuff for decorating.
