I've recently dnf'd 3 different books for problematic things that the author did not even seem to notice. Very frustrating.
How about some recs of genre titles that are NOT transphobic, bi-erasing, ace-phobic, slut shamey, or misogynistic?

llwheeler Have you read JY Yang yet? Black Tides of Heaven and Red Threads of Fortune, both very diverse fantasy (nonbinary, bi, poly, ... probably a lot of others that i'm just not thinking of off the top of my head) 6y

If you‘re down with YA, I highly recommend Gentleman‘s Guide for lovely queer rep, awesome looks at life with chronic illness, and a little glimpse at ace rep that‘s going to be explored in subsequent books. dylanisreading @Broke_Girl_Reads Thank you!! I love YA, but I think I dnf'd it after it first came out because I couldn't stand Monty and it didn't feel historically accurate to me (history major here). Maybe I'll give it a shot on audio. 6y
Broke_Girl_Reads @Bianca oh yeah, you definitely have to have the patience to watch Monty fall on his face several times, and I respect that not everyone has time for that. I did it on audio and I enjoyed the narrator a lot, but no pressure if it‘s not for you! 6y
