Literary Life Wrapping Paper: 12 Sheets + 24 Gift Tags! | Chronicle Books

Instead of reading a physical book or finding a book for the #HeatOfJuly photo challenge, I wrapped my #ShortStorySwap items, while listening to #LeVarBurtonReads podcast short story-The Baboon War! This will be put in the mail tomorrow!

Ok I have a nonbook related question: are sheets a totally lame gift to give a 9 yr old even if they come from Santa? (Santa doesn‘t give the cool gifts in our house, mom gets the credit for cool stuff).

BookInMyHands At our house Santa gives underwear, socks, and 2-3 very small little things. I would totally do flannel sheets from Santa! 6y

Avanders I say, short answer is no. He wont't be *excited* about them in the same way, but cuddl duds are so soft and it's a cool color for a boy.... And sheets are a cool thing to add to your room -- decorations of a sort. It's not like underwear 😁 6y

MatchlessMarie I say yes. But I‘m also the Mom that thinks every necessity from 12/1-12/25 gets wrapped and counts toward Christmas. Put some bows on the light switches and sink while we‘re at it 😂 6y

tournevis Depends on the 9yo, I guess. I'd have been irked, so would have my sister. I have a cousin who would have seen it as a challenge to sew something with them. 6y

teebe It won't be the gift he's raving over but I think it's okay as a gift, especially if Santa gifts are normally the smaller or more practical ones. 6y
