Every year I make this cake for my hubs birthday. It‘s only supposed to have a cup of beer in it. I may have “accidentally” used the whole bottle. The batter was delicious. This has been another episode of #bakingwithbeer

#perfectpets this is Guinness, named after my husbands favorite beer but he's demonstrated a preference for me! He's a bed hog and not to be trusted around food or trash but I love him anyway. #awesomeautumnbooks

Wife He looks very similar to my dog Reilly. Everyone thought he was a black lab, but had pointed muzzle and littler ears than a Lab. He was a really good dog! He passed away about a year ago and we miss him. 💔Enjoy your beautiful new baby. He's so lucky to have you, your husband, and a new home! 7y

Wife I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your dog as well. I read a book a few months after he died that really helped me. It demonstrates how strong love for a pet can be and how hard loss can be. It has a lot of humor, so I was laughing and crying throughout the read.

It's my husbands birthday today. We don't do much for it but I did make him a chocolate cake and the magic ingredient is Guinness!

CocoReads @tricours @sherryvdh it's delicious, moist and dense and I make a homemade cream cheese frosting for it. I only make it once or twice a year because I have a hard time staying out of it as well. 7y
