ConfessionofaBookaholic Ive been through USAF brat/spouse/vet life too! It‘s interesting to see it from all perspectives 👍 6y
Krisjericho I‘m a USAF brat who was born in West Germany! 6y
ravenlee @ConfessionofaBookaholic I love having seen it from all sides! But it can make it hard being a spouse, because all the support agencies assume we know nothing, and it can be frustrating dealing with young/new spouses who really do know nothing! (edited) 6y
ravenlee @Krisjericho I wasn‘t born there but I was a baby when we moved, so I don‘t remember anything prior. Were you at Ramstein? 6y
Krisjericho @ravenlee Kaiserslautern I was born there, but we left when I was less than a year old, so I don‘t remember it at all 6y

Hi 👋 #JB group! I just found this questionnaire after going back through old messages. I started a new job a few weeks ago so my Litsy Time has been significantly cut and it takes me a while to catch up.

1. Lilac and teal, or gray, white and yellow together
2. Besides books? Funko pops, coffee mugs
3. Yep, just updated it about a week ago
4. Horror or Victorian thrillers/mysteries like The Alienist.
5. No preference
6. Oct 5

@Kaye

Kaye Glad you had time to do this as some of the people are matching up responses on here with peoples names so they have ideas of colors, likes, etc. Try to drop a note in the mail to someone when you get time. With this, the more you participate, the more you‘ll get in return. 7y

So, does our Litfluence number not go up with every book we mark as read? I thought it did but I've marked a lot read lately and it hasn't really moved.....

Yeah_I_Read I feel like it has more to do with how many people follow you and how many likes your posts get 8y
GoldenGirl @Yeah_I_Read But it has a place for pages read... @MrBook do you have any idea how this works? 8y
Gezemice Books read don't count. You get one point for each like, and some more for others commenting on your post or stacking your book. 8y

TheLibrarian @Gezemice is correct although I wish reading a book gave you Litfluence. 8y
GoldenGirl @TheLibrarian @Gezemice Thanks! I wish there was a way to track what you own, etc. 8y
Gezemice @GoldenGirl Litsy is not meant for that. I use Goodreads for that. Litsy is more for interaction. 8y
GoldenGirl @Gezemice I haven't gotten comfortable with Goodreads yet. I used to use Shelfari, but they merged with Goodreads & I was heartbroken. 8y
Gezemice @GoldenGirl They actually have an "owned book" feature. It is on the My Books page, just under the list of shelves. 8y
GoldenGirl @Gezemice Ok, I'll have to start checking it out more! Right now I'm just using old fashioned pen & paper to keep track of what I own. 8y
MrBook Sorry I'm joining the convo so late. @Gezemice is correct, and @TheLibrarian is on to something. Then again she's a librarian, and we librarians always have ideas up our sweater sleeves 😆😉👍🏻. 8y
Gezemice @MrBook I think it is intentional that only others can give you Litfluence points, otherwise some could just add books only to get points. I know most won't do this, but I have done enough software community management to know that a few bad apples could ruin the fun for all. @TheLibrarian 8y
MrBook @Gezemice Ahh, excellent point. 👍🏻👍🏻 8y

Stolen from @julesG who stole it from @Kalalalatja #bookishwouldyourather 1. Paperbacks - easier to hold one-handed
2. Oh my gosh, I'm gonna say new reads but it breaks my heart to think of only reading my faves one time!
3. Buy because it's what I collect haha
4. Same cover - I HATE movie tie-ins
5. Having read neither I'm gonna go with LOTR because I hear there is second breakfast
6. 500+ pages. I think I'd be left wanting with only 100 pages!

saresmoore Yes and amen to second breakfast! 8y
Kalalalatja I am so with you on number 2. It is almost unbearable to think of! 8y
readordierachel Ha! Love your answer to no. 5. 8y
