Ok ok, I know I constantly say how much I love Kirby Heyborne😂
But this makes me love him even more! He “just wants to be a part of something good”😭🥲

This is Kirby‘s show “making good” on BYU TV! You can download the app and watch for free! He goes around to different charities and volunteers, showing the world these wonderful people!

& he‘s just so darn positive. He warms my soul!💕 Anyone who needs a pick me up, embrace Kirby!

sprainedbrain One of my absolute favorite narrators, and just an awesome guy! 2y

In other news looking for 3rd grade girl who reads at high school level, book suggestions. She reads as she breathes it‘s her coping mechanism I‘m headed out to thrift tomorrow so any titles you think are good please let me know !!!

LibrarianRyan School of Good and Evil, Keepers, Charlie Bone, 4y
rachelm I loved Hitchhikers Guide by the fourth grade 4y
Merethebookgal I don‘t remember what age I read them but I thought these books were so fun! 4y

TheAromaofBooks At her age I had a similar reading level and really enjoyed outdoors books - Jim Kjelgaard was a favorite, they tend to be about dogs and also hunting/trapping. Snow Dog and its sequel, Wild Trek, were/are my two favorites. Also loved horse books by Marguerite Henry and enjoyed older books by Eleanor Estes, E. Nesbit, Elizabeth Enright, etc. She also may enjoy The Secret Benedict Society books. 4y
Merethebookgal Whoops, just saw you said reads at high school level, so that might be too juvenile 4y
Crazeedi Try any of the books in this series(this isnt the first one) 4y
Lcsmcat I was reading Dickens at her age (started with Oliver Twist) and loved it. Also Treasure Island if she likes adventure stories, the James Herriot books if she likes animals. 4y
ravenlee Anne of Green Gables, The Dark is Rising, Prydain Chronicles, Tolkien, Agatha Christie? 4y
marleed I the the series of unfortunate events are great books for young readers with an advanced vocabulary but still yearn for content specific to their age. 4y
Scochrane26 A Million Junes by Emily Henry. A conspiracy of Stars by Olivia a Cole 4y
lucifare Robinson Crusoe maybe? I remember enjoying that when I was in elementary. Also Gulliver‘s Travels. My mom also got me started on Victoria Holt when I was young. 4y

Hey Austin Littens! Has anyone heard of Inside Books Project? They are an Austin based organization who provide prisoners with books! Basically, prisoners write to them and volunteers then pick books to mail them! Not only is this a great idea to help people in their rehabilitation, but it sounds like fun to be a volunteer. Would anyone be interested in a meet up / volunteer session? If there is interest I‘d be happy to try to set it up! ⬇️

parttimedomestic https://insidebooksproject.org ⬅️ is their website if anyone wants to check it out! They also take donations of books and of course,$$$ (edited) 6y

Just spend my afternoon fulfilling wish lists & packing books at Boneshaker Books volunteering with the Women‘s Prison Book Project.
Fun fact: the Dictionary is the most requested thing.
If you want to learn more, check it out here: https://wpbp.org/book-donations/

About to interview for a volunteer position at my local library. 🙌 Been wanting to do this ever since the disaster election inspired a desire to give back in my community. And I'm here every weekend loving books anyway, so here's to hoping it's a perfect fit! 💞📖

Suzze Great! Rewarding, and you can scope out more books. 7y
jesslovestype @Suzze Ah yes! Book scoping!! 7y
