I don‘t think grief is talked about enough especially for and in children. I post every year to both remember and to say grief is grief how you do it is the right way. And if you have lost someone, I‘m always holding space for you. Always.

GingerAntics I totally agree. My mother wasn‘t taken to her own father‘s funeral because she was “too young.” She agrees with the choice, but I know it has effected her. To remember playing on a swing set while your mother and brother are at your father‘s funeral is messed up. Kids feel all the same things, but they don‘t understand them because no one will talk to them about it. Their capacity to understand is there, though. 2y

AmyG Grief is part of life. My father died when I was 3 1/2. Not only did we not talk about grief….we didn‘t talk about him. I agree this needs to be talked about. How else do children learn to navigate their feelings of loss. 2y
TheBookHippie @AmyG My parents to this day do not say one word. Not one. Of course they are so elderly now I do not expect them to change but still. It is just odd to me. I'm in total agreement with you how else can you learn to navigate life. 2y
AmyG I am always so amazed how my parents kept so many secrets from me. If not for my step sister, ha, I would know nothing about my family. 2y
