“Love is....” by Diane Adams is a RF-RA/CR book about a girl who finds a duck and decides to keep it and take care of it, only to realize that at a certain point the duck was getting big and ready to be out on his own again in the world. This book talks about all the the things that love is, like taking care of something fragile, and knowing when it‘s time to let go. This book is very special to me because it reminds me of my kids. #UCFLAE3414SP21

Love is was such a sweet story, and beautifully illustrated. I didn‘t care too much for the other two. Still, I am adding three more to my #BBRC count @LibrarianRyan @Librarybelle

This was a really sweet story and I appreciated the main character being depicted as a person of color. I was a little disappointed that it wasn‘t an Own Voices book however.

Simple and poignant. It shows that love is also about letting go sometimes, and it teaches it in a non-heavy-handed manner. The illustrations are the sweetest, too.

Both are narrated in simple text, w/ images that complement the writing and do not duplicate what is written in the actual text.
