I know this may be sacrilegious to some of you, but I cannot stand Oprah. But while I was at the grocery store this morning I caved & bought the latest issue of O because, well, isn't it obvious?? I more week until I take (and hopefully pass!!) the PMP certification exam & can get back to what's most important in life - reading for pleasure!! This magazine is helping keep me focused on that end goal. 😆

Been curious about this one 'cause of Oprah's impact on the publishing industry & I heard everyone Kelley reached out to(many authors)refused to talk. So how did she pen this hefty volume? Mostly from old articles & interviews. Fun to read entire list of early O Book Club picks, but(ugh)I drudged thru the rest. 1 positive note: Oprah's dad Vernon (above) encouraged her early bookish passion by sending his young daughter O to the library each week.
