Book 3 in the breathtaking sci-fi space saga inspired by astrology that will stun fans of the Illuminae Files and Starbound series. One final secret stands between Rho and the enemy. But will the devastating truth be enough to destroy her first? Rho, the courageous visionary from House Cancer, lost nearly everything when she exposed and fought against the Marad, a mysterious terrorist group bent on destroying balance in the Zodiac Galaxy. Now, the Marad has disappeared without a trace, and an uneasy peace has been declared. But Rho is suspicious. She believes the Master is still out there in some other form. And looming over all are the eerie visions of her mother, who died many years ago, but is now appearing to Rho in the stars. When news of a stylish new political party supported by her best friend, Nishi, sends Rho on another journey across the galaxy, she uses it as an opportunity to hunt the hidden master and seek out information about her mother. And what she uncovers sheds light on the truth--but casts darkness upon the entire Zodiac world."

Book 3.. well it's about time Rho decides to stand up for herself. The stupid love triangle drama is messy, but what can you except from YA. Hopefully her live interest is finalized. The ending is what really saved the book. I did not see that coming. All my theories were wrong.. just when I thought I figured it out.

I finally finished this book! It took me a while because I didn‘t really feel captured by the story. It‘s one of those books that‘s doesn‘t get good until the last 40 pages or so. I felt like I had to finish it since I started the series but I‘m glad it‘s over. One more book to go....

Starting to read the third book in the Zodiac series! “The only way to have a just society is to remember each other. Down to the last individual, without discounting any person or population, without ignoring people we would rather not see, even those whose values we revile. Do you think this is possible for any civilization to accomplish?”

Do you think it‘s possible?

• I actually found it by accident on the App Store looking for a good way to log books I want to read. Best accident ever!
• Yes, well sort of. I write down and number books I‘ve read in a journal, but they aren‘t organized in any particular way.
• It didn‘t until last month, and now it does heavily.
• Black Moon! I want to finish it tonight!

@Chellebearss

RainyDayReading Stumbling upon it by accident is often the best way to find things 🤣 6y
BiblioTori @RainyDayReading Me with every good app, book, and friend I‘ve ever made. 😂 Stumbling upon things usually leads to either a good something, or a good story to tell afterwards! 6y
RainyDayReading @OnlyMeJustT It really does! The phrase “Mischief Managed” comes to my mind when I think about all the stories I‘ve acquired by finding things accidentally 🤣 6y
Karkar What a great accident!!! 6y
Chellebearss I stumbled upon Library Thing by accident when trying to find a way to track my books. I found I kept buying books I already had and needed a way to catalogue them 😃 6y

“Whatever happens, Rho... part of me will always be waiting to be yours.” -Mathias

This series is by far my favorite one thus far. Romina Russell makes the characters interesting, the writing is beautiful, & the plot keeps you invested the entire time. 5/5 stars, definitely pick up the Zodiac series if you can!

I've been enjoying the concept behind this. A planetary system based upon astrological signs with a kind of collective consciousness which helps to rule. It's been interesting getting to explore the various worlds and see how their varied peoples interact with one another. This ended in a major cliffhanger which sends the reader off on a high for the fourth and final book to come.

I really enjoy these books. I'm kind of pissed it ended with a cliffhanger. If only because I need to know what happens next.

This is one of my favorite series and Penguin Teen is hosting a reread of the series in preparation for the release of the 4th book.
Zodiac: 6/26-7/16
Wandering Star: 7/17-8/6
Black Moon: 8/7-8/27
Thirteen Rising release: 8/29
If you haven't read this series, now is a great time to check it out. (Isn't this necklace just gorgeous?)

Zodiac taught me to be brave, Wandering Star taught me to listen, and Black Moon taught me to trust myself more than others. Black Moon is intoxicating and manipulative in a good way. You will experience a lot of emotions and mixed feelings through your reading journey — you may feel hatred, or love, or fear but above all of everything. I assure you, Black Moon will teach you about life.

Honestly, I always find these books unengaging. The world-building and romance is enough to keep me buying the next one, and I keep them on my shelves rather than the garage-book-dungeon because they're pretty, but I find myself skimming through. I don't care what happens to half the characters and I find the plot not necessarily predictable but somehow uninteresting? There are plenty of ups and downs but I still find myself bored.

This book had me on the edge of my seat! There was so many unexpected things that happened with the story and while we were left with a cliffhanger ending, I somehow left still feeling satisfied. I absolutely cannot wait for the next one to come!!!

P.S. I just finished this so I'm still freaking out a bit.

Gah I don't know why I thought this was the end of the series! But as I read I knew there had be another book coming. It was good but not my favorite of the series. Also there's one thing that made me rate this a 4 instead of a 5 but I can't say because it's spoilery. But I do really want to see how the series ends so I will be reading book 4.
