When Mrs. Moose expresses a desire to have a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner in this humorous seasonal picture-book, Mr. Moose sets out to fulfill her wish, but finds to his surprise that Turkey is not so enthusiastic. Young readers and listeners will immediately understand Turkey's motivation here, and will enjoy being in on the joke. Very sensitive audiences might find the story somewhat distressing, so adults should be aware of that.

This is my favorite Thanksgiving book. It appears to get a little violent and really builds tension. With sub shortages and covid restrictions, yesterday I had mine and the music teacher's reading groups in the library. We couldn't do our normal lessons. So for the 1st time ever we sat on the carpet spread out to hear a story. Then we wrote Thanksgiving words and drew turkeys. Some of my kids can't write their own names! But they wrote THANKS 😊

I am thankful for all things. I believe in living with a grateful heart because that‘s how you find true happiness.

I‘m thankful for the ACA which allows me to have healthcare when my employer doesn‘t offer it to me. It isn‘t the same as nation-wide healthcare for all, but it is a step towards getting there.

I‘m thankful for my family and friends and for my two jobs. And of course for my new-found Litsy family that I just discovered in March! ❤️❤️❤️

This was one of my favorite books as a kid. My brothers and I would listen to the audiobook all year but I can't help but remember those days and this book and smile each year on this day. So much to be thankful for including the memories of this beautiful, heartwarming story.
