When the home of Alex Cross's oldest friend, Ellie Cox, is turned into the worst murder scene Alex has ever seen, the destruction leads him to believe that he's chasing a horrible new breed of killer. As Alex and his girlfriend, Brianna Stone, become entangled in the deadly Nigerian underworld of Washington D.C., what they discover is shocking: a stunningly organized gang of lethal teenagers headed by a powerful, diabolical man--the African warlord known as the Tiger. Just when the detectives think they're closing in on the elusive murderer, the Tiger disappears into thin air. Tracking him to Africa, Alex knows that he must follow. Alone. From the author Time magazine has called "the man who can't miss," CROSS COUNTRY is the most heart-stopping, speed-charged, electrifying Alex Cross thriller yet.

This Cross novel was not as good for me. I'm not sure if I was in a weird place while trying to read it, but this one was confusing in the middle.

I haven't shared this publicly yet, but I have a resolution for 2019. I've promised myself that I am not going to spend money on books this year in an effort to read more of the books I already own. The only exception to this is if I need a book for my book club and I can't get it at the library/Libby in time. We are 2.5 months into 2019 and so far I haven't broken my promise! 🎉😁

Wife Join #StackAttack2019. I set this as my challenge and post with this hashtag when I read a book from my stacks that I‘ve owned prior to 2019. I‘ve invited anyone who wants to join. Tag me along with the hashtag. 🌹 5y
WorldsOkayestStepMom @Wife thanks for letting me know! I'll try to remember to tag you and use the hashtag!! 💖💖 5y

WorldsOkayestStepMom @Lovesbooks87 it definitely isn't easy! Last week, I had planned on ordering "The Hate U Give" & "On the Come Up" by Angie Thomas before my husband reminded me about not buying books. I was pretty disappointed! 5y

As a freshman, my daughter qualified for state competition this year! She finished 27th out of ~150 girls and was only 2 spots from making all-state! This has been an amazing cross country season for her and she has goals to medal in state by the time she is a senior.

DivineDiana She is fast! 🏃‍♀️👏🏻👍🏻 6y
