From the mind of one of the most popular YouTubers of all time, DanTDM, comes a graphic novel adventure that reimagines the Minecraft-style worlds and characters hes created like youve never seen them before. After a day of experiments, Trayaurus and DanTDM are about to call it a night when a strange-looking crystal plummets to earth, breaking into five pieces that scatter far and wide. DanTDM and Trayaurus recover one of the shards and quickly realize they are in possession of an object more powerful than anything theyve ever known. Word reaches DanTDM and Trayaurus that other pieces of crystal have been recovereda group of pigs have harnessed the crystals power to enable them to talk. But theyre not aloneDan and Trayauruss archenemy, Denton, has also found a shard and manipulated its power for evil. He has created a cloning machine and is producing a terrifying marauding army intent on hunting down the remaining crystals in his effort to become all-powerful. Its down to DanTDM and Trayaurus to stop him. Will they prevail, or will the forces of evil be too great for them to overcome? Fans of the Elementia Chronicles and the Gameknight999 series will be drawn to DanTDMs tale about an epic power struggle in a high-stakes world.

Littens, I need recommendations! This is the only book my 6-y/o has read on his own. And even here I had to step in. It's well within his reading ability, but it got too scary when it looked like the bad guys were winning! I love reading to him, but I want to encourage independent reading too. He only wants to read about Dinosaurs, Minecraft, Kittens, and maybe Space. Needs lots of colour images and nothing remotely scary! Help? #raisingreaders

saresmoore Hmm, that's tough! Have you tried any of the Fly Guy series? Magic Treehouse books have fewer pictures, but subjects he might like. They get a bit suspenseful, but not ever scary that I know of. 7y

Leniverse @LibrarianRyan Yay! I was sure you would have something. And series are great. We have read all but one of the Dino Mike books. It's one one of his favourite series. But I read them to him. Too much text for him to want to attempt them on his own. Sports is not something he's interested in, so I don't think Maddox will appeal, but I'll look up all the rest. Thanks! 😃 7y

Pickpick

Fast-paced and a lot of fun! It's fantasy, a little sci-fi, and a lot of adventure. My 7yo daughter found the artwork "so cute" and the storyline "cool and funny." When she finished reading it, she made me stop everything to read this for myself, because "it's a really good book!" I liked that there was hope for one of the bad guys, and that things weren't too easy for the good guys.
