Ok having seen some posts on book boyfriends I‘m going to have to go full #romantsy 😊 The character Matt in Once Upon A Rose is a big softie with a grumpy exterior - and he‘s French, grows roses, and takes off his shirt quite a bit. What‘s not to love?! 😂 The cover doesn‘t quite do it for me so I‘ve recast him as Justice Joslin. (A US model ex footballer) No thanks necessary 👍

danistclair @Chachic Yes, Matt 😍! I don't know, I got this one on sale - I think you might have told me about it, actually (if so, thanks for that!) - but the others are like $5 each so maybe like...one a month, unless I want to blow my whole book budget in a few days? 😂 7y

danistclair @Chachic unfortunately public libraries in Germany aren't free 😢 It was one of the hardest cultural adjustments to make! 7y
Chachic @danistclair It was the same in Singapore, it's not free for foreigners. But couldn't you still access digital libraries from Australia? 7y
danistclair @Chachic In Germany - or at least in my town - it's not free for anyone! But I hadn't thought about my aus library's digital collection. Thanks for that, I will look into it 😊 7y

Also #SetInFrance, @LauraFlorand's La vie en Roses series focuses on the Rosier family, who are considered local royalty in Grasse because of their influence in the perfume industry. I've loved all three novels and one novella in this series!💖 Also, I used my Penhaligon's and Jo Malone fragrances as props for this shot... my current go-to scents.

No rose photos to go with this book sorry! I took this out on my morning walk, I think it's an oleander.

Anyway, thank you @Chachic for recommending this #romantsy book. I loved these characters so much. I just smiled and smiled and SMILED, they were so sweet. (And hot of course!) Matt is definitely one of my top 5 romance heroes. Seems I have a thing for sweetheart guys - good thing I married a big softie of my own then! 😂😂

Chachic Oh yay! I'm so glad you loved it. I loved Matt, he tries to be growly but he's really a marshmallow. And Layla was great too. I hope you enjoy the rest of the series.😊 The next one is Damien then Tristan, but Raoul's is a novella in this anthology.

I first discovered @LauraFlorand when there were only two books in her Amour et Chocolat series. She's been one of my romance #autobuyauthors ever since. I also love her La vie en Roses series and can't wait for the next installment. Highly recommended for romance readers.

If you love all things French, a brooding alpha hero, who growls like a bear, sexily of course and a spunky, whimsical talented Goldilocks of a female lead who is definitely not the drama queen kind but instead is a practical romantic (meaning there is no misunderstanding ever happening in this book!) plus the gorgeous, gorgeous setting of southern France with all those scents and sights just brewing romance then read this one now!
