This book is a collection of the 5-minute Women‘s Hour vignettes on New York life that Helene presented in the late 1970s / early 1980s.

Utterly delightful, as always with Hanff, although not as fabulous as 84, Charing Cross Road (but could anything ever match that?!)

From 1978 to 1984 Helene Hanff wrote and presented a monthly 5 minute segment on the BBC's Woman's Hour. This book is a collection of the scripts from those broadcasts.

Der dritte der Teil der Saga von Helene Hanff steht im Zeichen der vorigen Bücher. Auch wenn mir nach wie vor der erste 84 Charing Cross der liebste ist, ist ihr Witz auch nach den Jahren noch sehr erfrischend. 😉

The third part of Helene Hanff's saga. It fits to the two previous books even though the first part 84 Charing cross is still my favourite. Her writing is still refreshing after all these years. 😉

Maike Oh ich wusste gar nicht dass es da noch einen dritten Teil gibt, ich kenne nur die ersten beiden. Ab auf die Liste damit 😁 7y

Sarah83 @Yanes ob das alle Autoren so sehen, ist ja auch dir Frage. Das Buch berichtet ab dem Jahr 1979. Die neue Generation von Autoren wächst ja auch schon mit dem Gedanken an das Marketing heran. 😉 7y
