First book finished during the #20in4 Readathon.
so-soWell…it‘s finished. So many characters that I didn‘t like. The next book is about characters I did like so I may give it a listen since I can borrow the audiobook. I‘m still undecided.
There were many cringe moments and bad choices in this one. Still, a so-so not a pan.

I loved the relationships/friendships on this book.

A group of friends in Texas are in various stages of life- career wise, relationship wise & family wise. Bea is a list maker, mom of three (all college age or older) & her divorce has been finalized. Enter The Love List. Her post divorce bucket list.
The relationships -friend, family, romantic- were wonderful to read & experience.

pickThis is how a historical fiction novel should be written. I loved hearing more about WWII Navajo Code Talkers. Dates and historical events were accurate and I liked that this was told as a grandfather sharing his story and wisdom with his grandchildren.

Book 4 in The Holiday Adventure Club series follows Lucy and her vacationers to Morocco for the annual rose festival. This time her group includes a family, friends, a superstar and her ex-husband. This one was definitely a bit ‘heavier‘ than the previous books with TW for chronic illness, sexual assault & fertility issues.

I attended a funeral for a 23 year old today who died in a construction accident. He was in marching band with my son & was such a bright light with a beautiful soul. 💔💔
Last month I was at a funeral for an 18 year old who was in school with my daughter. So much heartache. Hits hard and close.
