Archie thinks maybe I'm trying to read too many things at once
Cannot get enough of this book!!
I'm addicted to Blair Braverman's Twitter, and somehow her book is even better than that.
This book was rocking my world - so many things to learn! - until the last 50 or so pages and I've hit a wall (probably because my TBR pile is towering and I just want to pick up something new). Must power through! #sundaymorning
"Life is diverse. Living is to live with difference. Anyone telling you that difference should be stamped out is stamping out life. Those people insisting that there are black and white answers to the difficult questions are stamping out the diversity that is inherent in life."
It's hot again in Memphis 😒 but I'm enjoying my #litsypartyofone and watching the leaves fall outside anyway
Fall Saturdays are for reading (with occasional football breaks).
We lost my grandfather last weekend, so it's been a tough and busy week. Took the morning to get my hair done (reading the tagged book while the color set), walk leisurely around my favorite grocery store, and make white bean/sausage/kale soup. A much needed rest.
"The city was radiant and I felt untouchable. I experienced the boundlessness that ships cut from their moorings must feel. I experienced that feeling of having money, paying the tolls, of being allowed to enter the race. Yes, I felt freedom again, even if I couldn't quite recapture the hope. I could have walked all night. All the times I'd been denied entrance, all the times I'd asked permission-but it was my city too."
So far I've highlighted basically everything.
I love when I forget I preordered a book and it shows up at my doorstep by surprise. It's a gift from past me.
First day of October outside with this read and the Sunday Times.
