Another page turner from TJR with the alternating chapters for each scenario! However, I cannot rate this book much higher than I did because the ending fell short for me, as heartwarming as it was, because I was left feeling a tad incomplete/unfinished. Although, I‘ll say the book did have me pondering how much truly is up to fate and how our choices effect our future endeavors. So it was extremely provoking in that sense which I enjoyed!

This book finally brought me out of my reading rut! Although it is not my favorite TJR book, it is definitely worth the read as it was easy to be consumed by the storyline and become consumed with Emma‘s feelings as your own. However, I would say it was a tad predictable as to who she would choose in the end. But still, beautifully and heartbrokenly written, TJR once again impressed!

LaraReads Totally agree! Love TJR, and this was so good. Not as much depth as some of the others, but it was a really well written story about a heartbreaking situation! ❤️ 10mo

I am SO mad that I didn‘t get around to this one sooner. The alternating chapters depicting past/present gave the story a more meaningful presence as it forced you to connect with the characters on a deeper level. The writing itself was flawlessly done; I found myself tearing up at the last few chapters. I truly felt as though I could feel Macy‘s love and pain through the pages. Such a heartbreakingly beautiful story. A definite must read!

TJR never fails to deliver! I loved the dynamics of the Riva siblings; their dedication and love for one another prospered through their hardships which I found heartwarming. I specifically favored the early chapters about Mick and June. Additionally, I really enjoyed TJR set up for this book too, splitting every other chapter between past and present until it aligned with the fire. It was no Evelyn Hugo, but it was definitely worth the read!

UGH! Talk about a heart wrenching, yet very enjoyable, read! CoHo never fails to make you feel everything all at once when reading. This novel was beautifully written. It gracefully expressed the loss and love from all characters perspectives; I was rooting for Kenna, hurting for the Landrys, and equally as conflicted as Ledger. There were multiple times I caught myself tearing up. This one is definitely high in my CoHo rankings!

This book was a random pick for me, but I‘m really glad I decided to give it a try! The story kept twisting and turning, thickening the plot and characters with it. I really enjoyed the setting and characters in the book. Letty‘s character was super easy to root for and I adored her love for Maya; specifically her dedication to keeping her promise to Tanya! As a reader, it was easy to WANT to pick up the book! Definitely give this one a read!

This was an unexpectedly great CoHo read! I really connected to Beyah and sympathized with her story, so her character arch was really powerful for me. I was utterly shocked by the twist, something Hoover never lacks. I thought there were a lot of deeper and important lessons imbedded in the writing as well. Definitely recommend if you like other CoHo reads!

This was a very quick and easy read for me, which I enjoyed! The plot was thick and the build up of secrets for the characters was intriguing throughout. This made it easy to connect to the Bayview Four and really sympathize with their stories. I can‘t say I was unbelievably shocked by the outcome, with the exception of one characters role, but enjoyed it nonetheless. I have yet to watch the show but might give it a try to compare the two!

This book was on my TBR list for two years, so I finally got around to it and am thankful I did! It had a slow build but by the second half of the book it was impossible to put down. Addie is an amazing main character, one I was confidently rooting for the entire time. The writing and plot were so captivating that it put my own timeline into perspective as I found myself relating to Addie‘s fear of time. Definitely worth the read!

This rating physically pains me as I have not found a CoHo book I wasn‘t obsessed with; however, this book fell short for me. I could appreciate the writing and characters, but couldn‘t get behind the cheating trope. I felt like Ridge‘s character wanted the best of both worlds, making it hard to sympathize with his relationship with Sydney. Definitely not a terrible read, but not one I would ever go back to.

WOW… Another masterpiece by TJR! I have been in a reading rut lately but this book dragged me out of it. I really enjoyed the interview style of writing and the connections it forced me to make with the characters. This book was one that made me to feel exactly what the charceters were feeling and had me conflicted on who I was rooting for in the end. The story felt so real and alive. I was enthralled by the plot and couldn‘t put it down!

FINALLY! It took me extra long to read this book, partly because I was busy, but mostly because I didn‘t want to finish this series. I wish I could explicitly say everything I loved about this book, but I don‘t have enough words. If you‘re an HP fan, you probably know anyways. Overall, the books brought a lot more plot and details into the series (obviously). This book was truly a great read and I‘m already planning a reread.

I‘ll be honest, I never really enjoyed this movie as much as the others, but after reading the book… WOW! This book has by far been the most intriguing and kept me hooked the entire way through. Getting more insight into Voldemort‘s past was my favorite thing about the book. This book had me questioning more about the characters and their motives, especially Snapes. I definitely need to go watch the movie again. I loved this book!

I am really impressed by how much reading the books has made me appreciate the movies! I think this book really gave a lot more insight into Sirius/James/Snape backstory and Dumbledore‘s struggle with caring for Harry. I wish the movies showed all of that more, especially putting Dobby in the movies! Sirius‘ death broke my heart and reading Harry‘s thoughts was hard. I can‘t believe I‘m almost done with the series… on to the next!

WOW! I loved this book. This movie was my favorite of the series but after reading the book it might be in my bottom, just because SO much information/plotlines/characters are left out. However, I will say this book is by far my favorite. There are so many differently elements to it and I feel that it‘s the first truly mature book of the series. Overall, I have loved getting to know/understand more about all of the characters.

I really enjoyed this book! The beginning was a bit slow for me (as was the movie), but by the middle I didn‘t want to put it down. I loved getting more of an insight into James Potter and Snapes backstory, along with the role Crookshanks played throughout. However, Ron did make me so mad with the way he was acting towards Hermione the entire time! I was mostly happy to read a more in-depth ending when they are in the shrieking shack!

This book is my favorite of the Harry Potter movies and I‘m happy to say I loved the book equally as much, if not more! I liked reading more about the ghosts, who had been cut from the movies for insignificance to the plot. I mostly enjoyed the last five chapters and reading more in depth about Tom Riddle‘s past, as it gave me a better understanding of the character. Overall I felt like the movie did a great job recreating the book!

I have watched all of the movies multiple times but finally committed to reading all of the books. I can definitely see why this is such a classic favorite for so many! I loved to see a more exaggerated version of the characters personalities compared to the movies, as well as more of Snapes character overall. I can‘t wait to keep reading the series!

I cannot explain in any amount of words the feelings I have towards this book that would make someone understand just how deeply I loved it. I felt connected to the characters and fully appreciated their stories. The complexity of Evelyn Hugo‘s story and Monique‘s role in it all was breathtaking. I have never cried reading a book or felt passionately enough to do so, but I balled my eyes out through the end. Do yourself a favor, read it now.

If there were any book I could rate more than a pick, this would be the one. It was recommended to me by my best friend, who I will forever be in debt to for it. The writing. The plot. The characters. Everything. Just utter brilliance. I have no critique that would make this book better than it already is. I will never stop praising this book, nor will I ever get over the ending. An absolute psychological thriller if I‘ve ever read one.

I am a major Colleen Hoover fan! I have thoroughly enjoyed every book I have read by her, but something about this book was even more rewarding than others. I enjoyed the eerie writing and the open ending for personal interpretation. I though the characters were equally as intriguing as the plot. This is definitely a new favorite of mine!

I personally don‘t enjoy slow burn books, especially ones that last about 75% of the books entirety. I can appreciate the plot and characters, but was mostly disappointed with the ending as it seemed more outlandish. It has that shock factor at the end, but I feel like by the time I got to it I was just ready to be done with the book and couldn‘t fully appreciate it.

Jennaree3 I'm halfway and it is taking me so. Long. To. Finish. But Reese Witherspoon liked it so it must be a literary masterpiece 2y

I thought this book was really fast paced and an easy read that kept me hooked until the second part. I felt like the ending became too convenient and predictable. I wish there was more backstory for the people who started the chain. Overall a good and easy read that kept me interested!
