Unknown Book 7535597 | Unknown Unknown

Looking at my NetGalley list like why did I do this to myself?

Stuck with You | Ali Hazelwood

WOW. I'm really upset that I did not find Ali Hazelwood sooner. This book is a gem and I'm about to start the next novel.

Stuck with You | Ali Hazelwood

Okay, starting my first 'romance' book, unless you count Me Before You.

I am almost half way through and I love the conversations. It probably helps that Seiji Ozawa is one of my favorite conductors to date and being a clarinet player with a music degree also doesn't help.

I cannot put into words how much I loved this book. I'm not usually into reading Young Adult much, but because it was part of the big library read I gave it a go. The writing is beautiful, the characters had wonderful growth. It's honestly everything you'd want in a book.

Not really a book blurb, but I've been so bad about updating because work has been crazy and I've had zero time to read.

Started reading this for the Big Library Read and even though it is considered to be YA, it is so beautiful so far.

Mehso-so

Alright. I won't lie when I said that I got two parts into this book and just could not do it any more. As much as I love Nick Offerman, this wasn't something that I could enjoy part way through the second part of the book. Part one was wonderful, lots of enjoyment of hearing about his love of nature and time at Glacier National Park. I loved that he talks about Teddy Roosevelt, John Muir, and the CCC. (cont. in comments)

b.elschie I did enjoy him talking about his time in the English farm...but then there were unnecessary parts talking about politics and in a book that I thought would be about nature and the national parks and various other things..it felt super out of the blue. Once politic discussion came in, I fell off the book very hard. Again, nothing against Nick Offerman, but I couldn't continue it. 1y

I've been reading a lot of Web Comics recently on the Manta app and I fell in love with this series. It's three seasons and it gave me all the feels, the twist was wonderful.

1984 | George Orwell

I was re-reading this recently and George Orwell's writing is always so well done. Even if Winston Smith sucks.

Alright friends, I have finished Part 1 of Nick Offerman's adventures in the woods and man I really, really wish I could experience nature with Nick Offerman. As an avid outdoors woman and backpacker, it would be the ultimate adventure. His thoughts are witty and present to the goings on today and I probably should listen to him read it..but my attention span to audiobooks are literally non-existent. On to Part 2!

Dead Silence | S.A. Barnes

Let me tell you that if you have not read this book, you need to. S.A Barnes had my heart RACING the entire time. It felt like if Bioshock was set in space and not under the sea. I honestly read this in a day because I had to know everything and I'm still thinking about this book and I read it months ago.

Alora Welcome to Litsy! 😊 1y
NataliePatalie Hahah, this book reminded me of Bioshock as well! Really enjoyed it. 1y

Book of Night | Holly Black

Panpan

How do I explain how disappointed I was with this novel. Holly Black is one of my favorite, but this just...a) not an adult novel b) a lot did not make any sense at all. The main character Charlie Hall is one dimensional and there really isn't any growth of character...meh. #bookofnight #hollyblack

I was DYING of laughter the entire time, it amazes me that people say the things they say about some of the most beautiful places in America. Plus, there were some pretty cool things about some parks I didn't know and was happy to learn about. But, I believe that Acadia National Park will always be my favorite. #nature #nationalparks #nonfiction

Let me tell you, this books makes you laugh and angry at the same time. I learned so many new things and court cases. It was well written and full of wanting to educate. #nonfiction #politics

b.elschie @lele1432 It is SO GOOD. I cannot explain in words how well written this was, just know that it is also really funny what he says while describing different rights. Also thank you! :) 1y
