Three quarters of the way done with this book and I'm not scared yet. I like it, but still waiting for the creeps.

Mehso-so

I'm kind of between a so-so and a pan on this one... the main character was weak, a dishrag, but maybe that's what Watson intended. If so, well done. I anticipated some of the twists and turns which was disappointing, but at the conclusion I admit to being surprised. Overall, this book made me feel dirty. When I was finished reading, I felt like doing good things and bonding with my kids and anything just to get that taste out of my mouth.

nikirtehsuxlol Yeah I didn't really love before I go to sleep (also by sj Watson) and so I've never felt the need to try another of her books out! 7y

I don't know... this book is starting to bug me. The main character is really flaky and a lot of the dialogue is choppy internet exchange. I'm not sure how much longer I can do this. #apothicred #wineandabook

All I wanted to do last night was stay up late reading this book, but I was exhausted and my nerves were frayed from a wretched day at work. So it was lights out by 8:30...First day of Easter break finds me up early and ready to enjoy a few hours with Christina the amnesiac before the house gets moving!

Suet624 You get an Easter break??? Sorry about yesterday. 😞😞 7y
Santafecatfish @Suet624 thanks, Sue, that day is 24 hours in the past and I'm willing to leave it there! Yes! I'm off until Tuesday and blissfully happy about that :) 7y
Suet624 We must be heathens in VT. 😁 7y
Santafecatfish Maybe the schools call it "Spring Break" I don't know ? but part of a good anti bias education is acknowledging and celebrating the things we actually acknowledge and celebrate. 'Round here, the peeps celebrate Easter. I couldn't care less, but that's just me :) Anyway, happy Easter @Suet624 in your heathen Vermont! 7y

Gah! Ok! I'm callin' it! Not badly written, not terrible. I tried but I just don't have time to hang around waiting for a story to start. I started flipping through, reading random pages to get the gist and in doing so I think I discovered that I would have invested another couple weeks in this book without ever being truly satisfied. #LitsyPartyofOne

[DELETED] 3216391035 I finished this one, but remember having a hard time with it. I wonder what her other books are like? 7y

Getting my day started. This is a really slow read for me. I like it but I'm still waiting for something to happen. It's a real departure from the edge of your seat thrillers I've been reading lately, but I'm sticking with it. #LitsyPartyofOne

Took one kid to a track meet, took the other one to do grocery shopping, washed/dried/folded/put away five loads of laundry, walked the dog, ran 4 miles, made dinner for my husband, made separate dinner for my mom...I'm finally ready to put my feet up and get back to my #LitsyPartyofOne

Suet624 Holy Toledo. I did not do those things today. 😀 7y

Break from #LitsyPartyofOne to watch Birdman with my son. Because teenagers aren't home very often on Friday nights and when they are they don't always ask mom to chill.

Santafecatfish A great movie by the way. "I look like a turkey with leukemia!" "I'm an eventual Trivial Pursuit question!" #michaelkeaton 7y

It was a slow start to #LitsyPartyofOne because of all the interruptions..staggered arrivals home of various family members, people wanting to eat...and then there was the rapid dozing off mid sentence. But I think I'm in the groove now.

Just couldn't suspend my disbelief to accept that this guy silently rolled out of his driveway in the middle of the night and successfully disappeared/recreated his life and identity. Nobody was able to find him? Really? And he was able to start and sustain a web design company to make a new living? Nope...

I decided to re read this old favorite while on vacation. I'm traveling from a lake effect snow storm in NWPA to the sunny beaches of Venice, FL. Wish me luck getting to the Cleveland Airport ☃️❄️💨

You know you're a book nerd when you've spent three days planning what book/s to take on your vacation. Criteria: must be "paper pages" as my young son says, must be long enough to last two weeks and must be properly engaging (but not totally absorbing.) What's your favorite vacation book?

Well written and engaging, but the story was so much on the mundane, what is disappointing about my own life side that it was difficult to read. Definitely not an escape into another world read.

Pickpick

I loved this book until the action/ climax which reminded me of the same predictable endings to animated movies that I don't like. Otherwise a fun and imaginative story with great old photos to enhance the experience.
