My first James Patterson experience.
What a book! His style of writing with such pace means you never come up for air. The suspense he builds and questions he makes you ask are incredibly clever. Phenomenal book and definitely a new fan here.

So yesterday @Spud and myself held our second book club to discuss or thoughts and feelings on two books; Ready Player One and Children of Time. Fair to say we gave them both a thrashing over and had a seriously good time. Time to start reading for the NEXT little get together 😁.

And we areeee done! Houston, it was pretty decent, so we have no problem. 8️⃣ out of 10.
It took a while and didn't engross me I have to admit. Adrian does some excellent story-telling work and the characters (both human and "non") are thoroughly fleshed out. I found, from chapter to chapter, having to remind myself that the time scale has changed significantly. Also, the science "crunch" sometimes is a little in depth. However, great read!

Please tell me everyone around here feels the way I do about these books....? So strange but sooooo fun. Poor little Baudelaire children with their special traits and terrible Count Olaf with his relentless chase for their inheritance. And from the POV as the always pessimistic but wonderfully afable Lemony Snicket. Genius series!
