One of the greatest pleasures of reading is accidentally stumbling on a frequent thought of yours so well articulated that you read the paragraph over and over wondering how is it possible that this person feels the same exact way.
I‘ve always experienced this small melancholy whenever I leave a place even if I‘d stayed there for only a couple of nights. Du Maurier couldn‘t have said it better.

Absolutely loving this book. Atwood has definitely become an instant favorite. Can‘t wait to check out the series after I‘m done!

“You can approach the act of writing with nervousness, excitement, hopefulness, or even despair - the sense that you can never completely put on the page what‘s in your mind and heart. You can come to the act with your fists clenched and your eyes narrowed, ready to kick ass and take down names. Come to it any way but lightly. You must not come lightly to the blank page.”

“What is feminism? Simply the belief that women should be as free as men, however nuts, dim, deluded, badly dressed, fat, receding, lazy and smug they might be.
Are you a feminist? Hahaha. Of course you are.”

I‘m about 60% done with reading this book and I noticed that it has received many negative reviews. Most saying that it isn‘t a typical Stephen King novel.
Although I do agree that it‘s not his typical style, it‘s definitely a page turner for me. King always manages to keep the reader on the edge of his seat. Maybe the character developments are not up to par with other works but the intricate detailing of the 60s era has got me hooked.
