This memoir is FANTASTIC. Despite the fact that the only things I have in common with Leslie Jones is that we‘re both women so much of this resonated with me. Highly recommend the audio because she went off script a lot (unless you really don‘t like cussing, then read it in print).

This is just absolutely not my jam. The sexytimes were not appealing and Alex crossed my line of alpha male possessiveness I can tolerate.

The writing was good so if you like darker sexytimes and extreme alpha males this one is for you.

mcctrish #sexytimes I laughed out loud but honestly I‘m not sure I could deal with them on audio ( I tend to skim read them in print 🤣) 3w
kimmypete1 @mcctrish I‘m sure in print I would have been fine, bc skimming, but goodness on audio I just couldn‘t.🤣 3w

Picked this solely because of the cover. It was dark and messed up so if that‘s not your vibe then move right along. I loved it and it made my roadtrip home go fast!

I debated between a pick and so-so. For me it was more of a so-so, but I could see others absolutely loving it. I just thought the first half was so slow and there were a couple times I considered DNFing. I am glad I didn‘t, the ending was good.

There is a lot going on here, Long Division is a unique book, and I enjoyed the uniqueness. However, I listened to the audio and I wouldn‘t recommend it. While it was narrated very well, I feel like there were times I got lost and there was no delineation when the time changed and I know I missed things. Would definitely recommend this in print form over audio.

This book was not it. I had some small issues and one big one and gave up 65% through.

The cover is hella misleading, it‘s not at all summer, they‘re hiking in a literal blizzard.

Despite being told of his amazingness he mostly just grunts for communication.

I read a spoiler for the ending and I am so glad I abandoned this book.

Octoberwoman I really hate it when a cover does not match the contents. Like how hard can it be. 2mo

Divine Rivals | Rebecca Ross

I thought this was YA fantasy, but I‘m not sure that‘s what it was. Honestly it felt more historical fiction or a war story with some magical elements. I don‘t feel we learned anything much about the gods that were at war. However, with all that said, I definitely enjoyed Divine Rivals and will definitely be reading Ruthless Vows.

maich I agree with you. Wanted to knoow more about gods. Hope the next book will tell us more. 2mo
kimmypete1 @maich yeah that part was a miss for me, but still excited to read the next one. 2mo
