Inspired by Hester‘s “A” for adultery, Anna gets an “E” for eating all my damn paper towels.

Eclipse = Eclipse | Stephenie Meyer

Continuing on with my vampire thoughts, I feel I must remind everyone of the great Wuthering Heights reference in Eclipse (especially given the entire series is greatly inspired by this fantastic classic)

Look for Me by Moonlight | Mary Downing Hahn

It‘s been a while but I just randomly start thinking about this book again. It is poorly written and revolves around vampire love in a mundane traditional sense. Yet, it is wonderful as it takes some radical turns and makes little to no sense at times. It is quite possibly one of the most messed up and perplexing books I have ever read (mostly in that it is unexpected) but is also one of the best, worst, and most memorable.

Robinson Crusoe | Daniel Dafoe

I hate this book. It is the only book that has ever made me fall asleep. It was excruciating to read, taking 3 months. This, however, is probably less of a reflection of the book itself and more so a personal failure to adapt to different genres. I don‘t believe there are “bad books”, just specific audiences. This audience being those with insomnia. That being said, I have decided to give it another go.

Saw this and wanted to leave it here as a reminder of how incredible Hester is

Oliver Twist | Charles Dickens

It‘s 4 am and I can‘t sleep because I‘m still wondering why Dickens decided to call Northampton “Mudfog”. This may be the epitome of looking outside and using the first two things you see as inspiration. I encourage anyone who sees this to make up a town name based on two items you find. My town is “Treestar”

Kafka on the Shore | Haruki Murakami

ChairGorilla1959 I read something about how Kafka by the Shore actually includes Hegelian Dialectical processes as apart of the story now i might read it 6y
Hester @ChairGorilla1959 It‘s different from what you usually read but I strongly recommend it 6y
ChairGorilla1959 @Hester how is it different? 6y
Hester @ChairGorilla1959 Where to begin? It‘s incredibly strange and at times everything feels out of place. How could Kentucky Fried Chicken possibly relate to an Oedipal labyrinth of talking cats? It does actually come together in an amazing way though and it is far deeper than shock value. It‘s untraditional but absolute perfection 6y
