A clever plot that really keeps you guessing. The loose ends up just get tied up a bit too quickly at the end, perhaps a little more could have been left to the reader‘s imagination.

This is an intriguing read that pulls you in. It jumps around to different characters a bit too much for me.

It took me a while to get into this, but it did eventually really draw me in. I enjoyed how the stories intertwined, and the ending was a delight.

A bit predictable, and uninspiring. It really didn‘t captivate me. A light easy read but not one I‘d rush back to.

An odd setup for a thriller, but I enjoyed the setting in a sleepy town that has had its day. I just hope the next holiday Amos Decker has is a bit more relaxing!

A bit slow and waffley, but a nice story. City girl gets sent to the highlands, meets the wrong man, but eventually ends up with the right one.

A sweet tale with holiday romance, community spirit, and general high jinx. It is a little rambley in places, but overall not bad for a bit of light relief.

A very slow read that doesn‘t seem to flow. As a reader I wasn‘t captivated by the story or the setting, and there were too many characters involved.

Not as horrifying as the first book, but the sad story continues into young adulthood. An eye opening account of the foster system and the impact that this has on a child and their future.

An interesting perspective on petty crime and addiction, masquerading as a light romance/chick lit. I think it tries a little too hard and doesn‘t quite achieve either.

A truly horrifying read. It is written in such a descriptive way, you find yourself totally drawn into the story. A must read.

I really didn‘t enjoy this one. The story is so far fetched it‘s ridiculous and I just found the main characters irritating, stupid and really frustrating.

Light and witty, this is an easy read. It‘s a bit silly but short and snappy and an enjoyable story.

Sammichaels Ooooo, I'm really excited at the moment, also a tad nervous, because the fabulous Phillipa Ashley is reading MY book to review it! Omg, I hope she likes it! 5y

Not very Christmassy, unlike the title. It‘s a lovely romantic story about the perils of growing up (or not!) and family politics. Well written and enjoyable read.

An excellent telling of an awful story. It is descriptive whilst leaving many details to the reader‘s imagination. The details behind the story and the writer‘s visit to krompachy are so moving and provide a great insight to how the book came about.
