I was reading this Goosebumps classic in a treehouse my dad built. A storm was brewing, and I read a line, something along the lines of 'he opened door and was hit with a blast of stale air' just as a gust of wind shook the tree house. I promptly closed the book and ran inside 😆 #throwbackthursday

Graywacke Good story. 🙂 2d

I haven't read this one before but the look on that cat's face has got me bumping it up on the old TBR.😸 I believe this edition is from 1970.

#throwbackthursday

When I was younger, I loved this book! It was actually my favorite, outside of the first book, of the Narnia series. Posting this makes me want a re-read!

AmyK1 This is my favorite too ❤️ 7mo

A photo my daughter took last year of me in my natural habitat. #throwbackthursday

JenniferEgnor I went to a place like this in Philly. Messy, stacks everywhere—like mazes. Two cats hanging around, and *that smell*…it was paradise. I could‘ve stayed in there all night! 9mo
bookishbitch @JenniferEgnor It is the best isn't it? 9mo

Being that in middle school I made regular trips to the thrift shop near my apt to look for VC Andrews and Fear St books, there's a good chance the remains of my collection are just one big #ThriftStoreFind ! I put these out specifically for Halloween, because spooky nostalgia 🎃

#throwbackthursday

I loved all the Ramona books as a kid, and I loved this one the most (except for the tin can stilts in Ramona and her Father!) I remember feeling bittersweet, because at the time, this was the last book in the series. Probably the first series I read where a felt like the main character was one that I would have loved to meet in real life and rereading was like visiting them again!

I haven‘t reread this recently, so I can‘t say if it would hold up in regards to the use of stereotyping, but I remember this being my first exposure to mystery and a culture outside of my own. My mother still had the copy she read as a kid and gave it to me on a day I stayed home sick from school. Wonder if I still have that copy somewhere?

rubyslippersreads I think I still have at least one of my dad‘s Bobbsey Twins books, along with 11mo
Becker This brought up great nostalgic memories. 11mo

#WyrdAndWonder day 27: #ThrowbackThursday

Wooo I caught up! It‘s a classic, so damn right I tried to make it look iconic: Thomas the Rhymer by Ellen Kushner

Why yes I do have a soft spot for folkloric fantasy, why‘d‘you ask?
