pickA very affecting and effective portrait of depression and anxiety wrapped in a very readable story of friendship and romance. I enjoyed it a lot, although I found myself frustrated by yet another young character who is refuses to talk to anyone about how she feels. I enjoyed the Sydney setting too.

CarolynM @JennyM Authenticity, yes! It felt very real. But still, two traumatic events and she didn't talk to anyone about them? If all this lack of communication is an accurate representation of how young people are living, I'm very worried for them. 3y

CarolynM @Cathythoughts Thank you😘 We've had quite a cool summer, very few days over 35C and then only a day or two at a time. Today is only about 20C (I've been wearing a jacket) and was overcast all morning. Lovely sunny afternoon though🙂 It's been a good year for the flowers in the garden. The roses have been spectacular and the gardenias have been lovely too. We've got heaps of tomatoes and cucumbers in the veggie garden and lots of limes too. 3y
