#WinterPhotoChallenge #ChillyMorning

Year: January 2011. Place: Heber, AZ. Matt, our two greyhounds at the time, Pete (black) and Babs (fawn), and I spent New Year's up in northern Arizona and were actually snowed in for a few days. This was one of our chilly morning walks. #nostalgia #notatalllikePhoenixinthesummer 🩵❄️🩵

Leftcoastzen Wow , didn‘t know you had greyhounds ! My mom had whippets for a time. (edited) 5mo
dabbe @Leftcoastzen Yep; we adopted them back in 2008 and had them for 12 years. They definitely were a different breed to get used to, but we loved them immensely. Our dear friend in our 'hood had a Whippet and (at one point) 4 greyhounds. We'd all take trips together and take walks in the 'hood. People would just stand and stare--in a wonderful way. 🤩🤗😍 I still miss them every day. ❤️ 5mo
mabell Lovely! 🥰 Snow and fur friends! 5mo

Hooked_on_books Aw, look at their little coats! Good babies. 🐶🐶 5mo
dabbe @Hooked_on_books They really were. And it was hysterical to see them try to run in the snow with their long, spindly legs! 🤩🤗😍 5mo
Bookwomble Oh! I didn't know snow was possible in Arizona! My assumption was of a largely desert state. USA is such a big country! 5mo
dabbe @Bookwomble The northern part of our state can get quite snowy; that's the cool plateau highlands region. The southern part (where Phoenix and Tucson are) is the desert area. And Flagstaff has the most ponderosa pines than the entire world. 🤩 5mo
