Unwilling to be separated from her, her twin Rafferty begins an apprenticeship near the academy where Juniper is studying. Needles to say, things get complicated & with the promise of more, this is a solid first book.

pickI stayed up way too late finishing this book. It was really good. Fast paced with a few interesting twists at the end. I will definitely read the sequel when it comes out in a couple months.
so-soWhile cleaning out my “to read” list here, I decided to download any graphic novels that were available from my library. This was the first one I read because it was the one I was most excited about - but it fell a little flat. The storyline moved a little too quickly - long standing resentments resolved in a frame or two - but the characters were great. I wanted more!
so-soA fantastical story of vengeance and magic with a dearth if likable characters. There is a deadly quest and by the end, I just didn‘t care.
Oops oops oops looks like I never actually posted this one! Haven‘t finished quite yet, but it‘s shaping up to be a compelling dark academia murder mystery!
