I enjoyed this book, quite a lot, but it also felt pretty long and slow in some places. I liked the way she treated the time travel and he love story was epic. This was my book for #LitsyReadingChallenge #LRC11 #RoryList . The narrators were great, and I finished it during a chilly early morning walk to campus for my 8am class

Oh, Shirley. She never fails to disappoint me. I adore her ability to portray the horrible sides of humanity with irony and/or humor. She tackles many important issues in her pieces, these have sexism, racism, small mindedness, and more. Some favorites were : The Daemon Lover,The Witch,Charles,Colloquy and The Tooth. Planning on a reread of this classic novel. I think I was in high school when I read it the 1st time, though I have seen the movie with Ralph Feinnes & Juliette Binoche quite a few times (he's perfect as Heathcliff!) This is my #LRC11 book from the #RoryList for the #LitsyReadingChallenge

WOW. I've just finished reading this for the first time and I loved everything about it, especially the characters, the Gothic vibe, and the fierce perseverance of Jane.

I used this edition (given to me years ago by my grandmother because she loved this cover), my serial reader app for reading on-the-go, and the audio narrated by Thandie Newton which is A++
