3.5 ⭐ Jayme Lee Curtis is at it again. It‘s hard to be five celebrates being five years old. Both the things that you can no longer do as well as the things that you get to do now. This is a lovely book just like all her others. This is probably my least favorite of all her books I‘ve read so far. The illustrations are always just as perfect as the books are.

I am a wild over-thinker which truly gets in the way of my daily life. Maybe that‘s why I found this book so helpful. I listened to it and found myself agreeing with almost everything the author explained. I do believe I will live a better & happier life if I apply his advice. I specially love the fact that he has a whole section with explicit practice exercises.

I would read this book at the beginning of the school year to help my students transition to the change of a new grade. This would also be beneficial to read with students new to the district worried about everything that has changed.

This book explores the theme of change and the good that can come from it. This can help children understand that although goodbyes are hard they are necessary to have great new beginnings.
