One of my favourite #bannedbooks of all time. Robert Heinlein is one of the great grandaddies of #scifi and this novel, in my eyes is his magnum opus. A massive novel about a Martian born and raised human brought back to Earth who learns to live, love and #grok in fullness that nature of human beings. 🚀 👽. #readabannedbook #bannedbookweek

Jabberwocky Side note to anyone considering picking this up- Heinlein was writing in the late 50's and as such most of his work is rife with sexism. I take it as a hallmark of the times, but it's worth being aware of. (edited) 7y

geodynamical_nonfiction @amybeth This book came to me highly praised when I told the universe I wanted to "unschool" my future children. This book was recommended to me to help me communicate with my husband, my coworkers, my bosses, my students, my family... And everyone. It's amazing heartspeak. Hope you take a closer look. :) 7y
amybeth @geodynamical I'm looking forward to checking it out, I'm a philosophy major in religious studies and the idea of nonviolence is always a topic, which I find to be a most stimulating problem to find more ways to communicate and create proper dialogue between religions and between your own loved ones or people on the street. I appreciate your recommendation. :) 7y
