pickBarbara is such an interesting person! As a woman of her generation, she married young and unconditionally supported her husband whether it was moving to Texas or running for president without asking her opinion. But she did have opinions of her own and expressed them as she could be it was wearing a pro-choice button at the 1980 Republican convention or working with AIDS charities when others in her party were turning away. #roll100
pickJust beginning this memoir now of my most favorite president.
pickThis was an audio book and it was neat to hear George‘s & Barbara‘s voices. I learned more about their accomplishments and what all around decent people they are.
panFirst one was mildly interesting, but stopped when it was getting good. Second and third one were not interesting at all.
On top: page 39. On bottom: page 40. Literally the very next page.
Ugh. It may seem like a tiny thing. But inconsistencies like these bug the hell out of me. A good editor should have caught it and made text revisions.
The pleasure I get out of coming home from work and putting on my fleecy PJs and slippers is so intense it should probably come with a parental warning label.
