I highly recommend The Mother's. It's wonderfully written and in my opinion, it didn't come across as too preachy. The characters felt real.

Ruthiella Yes Alice‘s behavior is hard to understand at times. I felt she was trying to figure out which relationship allowed her the most agency. Love is less important than independence. But I think I read between the lines A LOT!😀 6y

I had heard of it very briefly a while back, but definitely saw more of an audience here on Litsy. I had gotten a physical copy of it, but once I found out Lin-Manuel Miranda was the narrator, I put it on hold to be able to listen. We LOVE him around here lol 6y
