The Anatomy Of Motive | John Douglas
post image
Pickpick

This one was a fun picture to create but go with me here. The favorite criminal profiler I follow is Pat Brown. Pat Brown doesn‘t have ever in synch opinions with John Douglas so here they are in fisticuffs in front of the FBI building.

This does appear to be a criminal profiler thing. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The book here is older case reviews. Pat used to teach Profiling at Excelsior which would interesting to follow along, I await her reading suggestions.

Soscha This is what Pat Brown taught at Excelsior: Forensic pathology
Psychopathology
Serial homicide
Criminal profiling
Crime scene analysis

Soscha The problem was, she said, the police that took the classes were awesome but the general audience resented the workload & made her stay there impossible. I‘m pretty sure this was the only profiling course in the country. 1d

Winter's Curse | Mary Stone

I enjoyed Mary Stone's Winter's Curse. It was action-packed. There was a bit of rivalry between Winter and another FBI agent, Sunny. The two books I have read by Stone have been really good. I will continue to read her.

This book surprised the ✨️heck✨️ out of me.
Part 1 - But when is this gonna get good? (Please tell me that someone knows this meme)
Part 2 - OMG this is so good
Part 3 - Gasp! The tragedy never ends 😭

This was for May bookclub - I loved the conversation we had about this time in history. Many people even brought their own stories from their family members. So interesting. And also, incredibly sad. I hate it here.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

•I love JLBs‘ Naturals series and I‘ve always wanted to find something like it but for adults and this hit closer than anything I‘ve read before to that series. It has the misfit team of FBI players trying to use their skills to find serial killers and I was here for it. The only thing that would‘ve put this over the top for me was multiple POVs from different characters because sometimes it got tedious being in Gardner Camden‘s head.

This was an excellent FBI serial killer thriller! The PAR Unit of the FBI (Patterns & Recognition) gets put on the case of a killer who is killing other serial killers. Yes, it‘s a bit like Dexter, if it were from the FBI‘s POV instead of Dexter‘s. I enjoyed the main character & thought the narrator did a great job. I‘m glad that this is the 1st of a series! Looking forward to the next one!

Last listen in January. This title kept appearing in my GR feed with great reviews so I was eager to dive in. Interesting characters and storyline, but ultimately it was just okay. 3 🌟
