Lcsmcat Cool! 6y
AmyG That IS pretty cool. 6y
julesG I should watch the news more often. This is just a train ride away. I wonder how they know it's a public library, I'd better read the article to find out. 6y

Bronte_Chintz Wow! That‘s so cool! 😍 6y
Slajaunie Amazing! If I had not had children I would have been an archeologist! 6y
JazzFeathers Wow!!! 6y
TheKidUpstairs @Slajaunie I wanted to be Indiana Jones when I was younger. I'll always kind of regret not following that dream! 6y
TheKidUpstairs @julesG did you read it? It's pretty cool how they figured it out! And the idea that there may have been more public libraries in Roman towns, we just don't know because it's mostly foundations that are found. 6y
Slajaunie @TheKidUpstairs when we retire we can go back to these dreams and live them. 6y
julesG @Slajaunie I also wanted to be Indy. Lara Croft always had too much in her blouse for me. 😝 6y
julesG @TheKidUpstairs I get the cubicle explanation from which they concluded it must be a library. I am not really buying the 'thick walls and middle of town' explanation that supports the *public* library explanation. But (!) I've given Roman history a wide berth at uni, I studied medieval history and mainly history of epidemiology and medicine. So, I'll have to trust the experts, or do some research. 😉 6y
