Ever have a series that you can read over and over like watching reruns of your favorite TV show? This is one of mine. Like an old friend, a favorite movie. I‘m in the middle of a new thriller and the All Souls Trilogy, one‘s quick, one‘s dense, but neither was what I needed right now. I needed comfort, familiarity, and a story I know I already love. Which books do you read over and over again? #theftofswords #riyria #comfortbooks #reread

#reread #comfortbooks I‘d forgotten how much grief was at the center of this one. Sydney lost her children and her husband, and nearly her own life in a tragic accident. She comes back to Gansett Island where she spent summers to heal and learn to move on. She dated Luke, and islander throughout her teenage years in the summer until she went to college and met her husband. Can Luke and Syd get their second chance? It‘s Gansett so yes they can!

We all have our comfort food, so what types of “comfort books” is your go to? I go to a breezy beach 🏝 book, set on the Atlantic beaches 90% of the time after a more difficult read. What‘s yours? #comfortbooks

PandaPanda Definitely YA fantasy. I keep those for the weekends. 6y
Samplergal @PandaPanda I rarely read any fantasy, but I do love YA a lot. 6y
Q84 I love historical fiction! It's usually my go and always seems to leave me in a good place but when I need something light I like a beach read. 6y

This is a complete guilty pleasure mystery series for me. I always know what to expect with Kinsey when I need a pallet cleanser after a heavy classic or something.

rubyslippersreads ❤️❤️❤️ Kinsey! These are #comfortbooks for me too. 7y

Something I learned years ago: if you want to read unencumbered, Book Cat gets a tome too. So long as she's on a book, she's satisfied.

Shadow Run is my next read, which means I'll need to scrounge up a replacement book pillow soon. In the meantime, on to The White Dragon by McCafferey as I continue with my post-election comfort reading.
