Gone Girl | Gillian Flynn

If you know me, you know that I love this book. Like, it's in my top 3 of the decade. And one of the reasons is the sibling-relationship in it - twins Nick and Go (seen here as played by Baffleck and Carrie Coon) are funny, codependent, honest, and a little f'd up. I think it's one of the most underrated parts of the book, and reinforces a lot of the major themes. #augustphotochallenge #bookishsiings #teamamy

TheSpinecrackersBookClub I absolutely loved this book too. Good choice! 8y
JoeStalksBeck It was a rare occasion that I like the movie better. 8y
brendanmleonard @Bookworm4ever the movie was my favorite movie of the year but it robs Amy of some narrative agency, IMO. 8y

JoeStalksBeck I think the narration on the audio may have played a big part in my lack of enjoyment of the book. 8y
JoeStalksBeck I did however love Dark Places. Both book and movie, though the book blew me away 8y
LauraBeth I ❤️ Gone Girl but I haven't seen the movie - I need to get on that 😺 8y

MissCarrieLou ❤️❤️Carrie Coon❤️❤️ Have you seen her in The Leftovers(another book adaptation! 😀)? 8y
brendanmleonard @MissCarrieLou not yet! I want to but tv stuff about grief and trauma is one of my triggers so I gotta be ready. 8y
MissCarrieLou Oh yeah definitely wait until you feel ready, the first season is especially intense with that, especially Carrie Coon's character. 8y
Gayan @MissCarrieLou , Carrie Coon in The Leftovers is EVERYTHING! She is amazing. 8y
SusanInTiburon @brendanmleonard You make such a good point! It's totally true that the sibling relationship enriched the entire story. 👏🏽👏🏽 8y
